Eat Well. Do Good.
Ecosphere is proud to have been chosen for the 2024 Community Harvest sponsored by the Gonzmart family and the 1905 Family of Restaurants.
As part of the Community Harvest program, restaurant guests will receive a list of charities on ballots with their check. Choose Ecosphere (or feel free to write us in if you don’t see us on the ballot) and the Gonzmart Foundation will donate 5 percent of that check to us via gift certificates issued in late November.
It's that simple! You pay nothing extra for your meals. The Gonzmart Foundation covers the 5 percent donation.
Ballots will be distributed the entire month of September at all seven Columbia locations plus these other 1905 Family of Restaurants brands: Cha Cha Coconuts, Ulele, Goody Goody and Casa Santo Stefano.
Now in the 27th year, this program provided $4 million to Florida non-profit organizations.
Participating in this Community Harvest holds a little extra significance for Ecosphere as one of the participating restaurant locations is also the site of an Ecosphere Restoration project.
The restoration of Ulele Springs, led by Ecosphere, revitalized both Tampa’s signature waterway and the once-neglected industrial area. The spring, severed from the Hillsborough River and forgotten for decades, was little more than a concrete pipe when the Ecosphere team first reimagined its future.
The unique rehabilitation re-connected the spring to the river via a small stream and created a living shoreline of native plants and rocks to stabilize the riverbank and provide fisheries habitat. In its tenth year, the Ulele Springs project is one of the most visible and beautiful restorations in Ecospheres vast portfolio of projects.
Your participation in the Community Harvest program will help us fund additional projects, for example our next major effort: to restore the Palma Ceia Spring system at Fred Ball Park off of Bayshore Blvd.
The seven Columbia locations include Ybor City in the historic district of Tampa, St. Armands Circle in Sarasota, historic district of St. Augustine, Sand Key on Clearwater Beach, Central Florida’s town of Celebration, the Columbia Cafe on the Riverwalk in downtown Tampa at the Tampa Bay History Center and the Columbia Restaurant Cafe at Tampa International Airport. Cha Cha Coconuts also is on St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. Ulele, Goody Goody and Casa Santo Stefano are all in Tampa.
For reservations, go to the websites of the participating restaurants.
